Rocky Mountain National Park

We decided that it was time to go hiking! I enjoy kid-friendly hikes and there are so many places to hike here. We went to Rocky Mountain National Park(only 45 minutes away from us) a week ago and it was great! We hiked around Bear Lake(which is a 1/2 mile nature walk, actually) and then we hiked to Alberta Falls(a much more hilly hike that was 2 miles round trip). The kids did great. Dallin and Sammy were troopers. Kaylie and Nathan were being carried, so they were happy! We hope to hike more this weekend. It is so great to get out in nature- the first pictures are just beautiful things that I took pictures of! Enjoy!

Aspens are my favorite tree! I loved this part of the hike!

Exhausted girl!
Me and Nate(he's asleep) at the Falls
At Alberta Falls. The boys found walking sticks along the way.
Yep- snow! There was still some around the lake!
This chipmunk was begging for food! It was jabbering at all that passed and holding out its paws. It even climbed up Preston's leg a bit. It was hilarious!
(I think people have fed him before... we didn't)
At Bear Lake. It was nice and cool that day, perfect hiking weather. So fun!

Dancing Doll

Kaylie has been dancing around the house for months, so we signed her up for a combination ballet and tap class. To say she LOVES dance class would be an understatement. I thought she'd be nervous, but she walks right in and does what her teacher, says with adoration in her eyes. Dance class is fun for the rest of us, too. I love to watch her through the windows. Dallin talks about how cute she is and draws pictures for her teacher. Sammy flirts with the older girls that are waiting for their classes to begin. :)

Here is our ballerina in the making....

On her toes!

Tap shoes! So fun!

I'm sure you'll see more of our little dancer!
