"Loving" Crafts

Two of my friends and I get together for craft days. This is what we made the other day.
The best part is that we didn't spend one cent! I already had all the paper and ribbon!

Pretty hearts for the chandelier

Garland for the mantle. The paper is all valentine-ish but all different styles, I was a bit nervous about that, but it turned out really cute!
(Nathan was watching Veggie Tales as I took the picture, so you get Bob the Tomato too :)
I have a heart stencil so we traced and cut out all the hearts. Both projects were super easy and it is always fun to sit and chat with good friends while doing something productive and making my house cute for my family.

Beautiful England

Preston took me to England for our 10 year anniversary and to visit his brother and his wonderful wife. We had a fabulous time! I can't wait to go again!
Here a just a few of our pictures:

Punting on the river in Oxford
Miles designs race cars at Williams Formula 1- never thought I'd sit in one!
Lovely gate and a college in Oxford
Sheep, sheep everywhere!
Stonehenge- very cool
Bath- this photo is for all you Jane Austen fans- can you name this movie?
In Burford at a sidewalk cafe - so European feeling!
Lovely post boxes everywhere
Arlington Row in Bibury
A "statue" in Stratford-upon-avon
Look at this crooked building! We saw lots like this
Windsor Castle

London Temple-rainy and windy that day

California!

We took off right after school let out for a two week vacation to Sunny California!
Here are some highlights of our trip:
We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa, what's better than that?
Kaylie in their pool- all of my kids are fish!
Sammy is very independent in the water
Dallin mastered diving rings in the deep end this summer- go Dallin!
Cannonball! (Kaylie still yells "Cannonball" at random times during the day)

While Daddy and Grandpa were at a Conference, Mommy and Grandma took the kids to Disney's California Adventure one day
Kaylie was a little nervous on the huge Ferris Wheel (so was mom- my kids were not buckled in and I thought they would bonk their heads, but they didn't)

Nathan sure loved the rides

We spent 3 days at Disneyland.
Nathan stayed home with Grandma, which was wonderful for all involved :)

We went at a great time of year, not too hot and the longest lines were to see princesses and fairies. Of course, the boys and Daddy rode lots of rides while we waited, the boys didn't want to be caught dead in the Princess line :)

"It's a Small World" is a wonderful place for a nap
Pirate's Cove on Tom Sawyer's Island was heaven for our kids

We bumped into our good friends from Colorado!

We spent one day at the beach, it was really windy so we didn't stay as long as we would've liked
