Snow!

Well, it's the end of March and we finally got more than 2 inches of snow! (I know those of you in the east don't want to see anymore snow- but we're in Colorado- aren't we supposed to get snow?)  I think our total was about 10 inches in this blizzard, or lizard as Kaylie calls it.  

She looked out the window and said,  "Mommy, I don't see a lizard outside!"  

We've had a very mild winter so I've been telling Preston that I wanted a big storm where we get snowed in and everyone is home.  

But, this one blizzard is all I wanted...let Spring begin!

Just some fun pictures from the last two weeks

Kaylie likes her babies and animals  and books in bed with her. 

 I'm really surprised that she hasn't fallen out of her "big girl" bed yet!

We put "Nate-bug" on the floor and his siblings are immediately playing with him-

One late afternoon, after not getting a nap, Kaylie was quiet for awhile. 

 This is what I found when I went looking for her....

Sammy said, "Mommy, take a picture of my tower".  (Kaylie's too!)

I'm 5 months old!

UnCHEWable

I've been pretty lazy about getting Dallin's lunch made in the morning lately so he's been buying school lunch, which he thinks is the greatest!  Anyway, the other day I asked him what he had for lunch at school and this was our conversation:

Mom: What did you have for lunch today?

Dallin: A peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Mom:  So, you didn't like what was for lunch and got the backup PB&J.

Dallin: Yeah, it was sloppy joes.

Mom:  Oh...so you got the sandwich

Dallin: It was unCHEWable.

Mom: What?!  (I was wondering just how long had that sandwich been in the frig at school?)

Dallin:  Oh, I mean, uncrustable.

Mom:  Oh....Do you like those?

Dallin:Yeah, they're really good.

So, I guess those disgusting-looking premade PB&J that I see at Costco, "uncrustables",  are good to Dallin.   I'm still not going to buy them.  I am now recommitted to making his lunch in the morning.  Sorry Dallin, back to whole wheat bread, natural peanut butter, and homemade jam!   Don't worry, he still gets cookies, too! :)

Sammy's Birthday

Yesterday was Sammy's 5th Birthday! 

 Super-Sam had to have a Superman party, of course!

Luckily, his mom likes to put on parties.  Even though they can be a lot of work and a little stressful, she likes the creativity side to them.  And she likes to make her kids happy!

We played games....

Preston and Dallin set up an awesome "Superman Training Course" in the basement.  It was a HUGE hit with all the boys- they did it over and over again and then again while they waited for moms and dads to pick them up!

After the party, Super-Sam set to work on his new toys.  He is so good at putting Legos together all by himself- he studies the directions and does it!  I love his look of concentration!

I got my payment for all the work- Sammy came down in the morning and looked at all the decorations and said,  "My birthday looks great Mom!"  I think I'll keep him!

Cousins and Pizza

My sister and her kids came to visit us for the weekend.  On Friday night I made individual pizzas for the kids and they put their own toppings on.  It was very entertaining but

a lot more work than I thought it would be!

Kaitlyn (on the left) ate most of her toppings before her pizza even went into the oven!  She's such a cutie!
